Small Business Health Care Tax Credit

Effective January 1, 2010

Up to four million small businesses may be eligible for a tax credit to help them provide health insurance benefits to their employees. The first phase of this important tax break provides a credit of up to 35% of the employer's contribution to employees' health premiums. Small non-profit organizations may receive up to a 25% credit.
